Mission
With Vermili, my mission is to create a luxury fashion brand, with three sole objectives; sustainability, craftsmanship, and sophistication.
Sustainability
The fashion industry impacts the environment at every stage of production, from creating fabrics to retail. Resource use, chemical pollution, energy consumption, waste generation, overconsumption in fast fashion, are all contributing. There are also unethical labor practices rampant in the fashion industry.
Sustainable and ethical clothing is my primary mission at Vermili. I use organic fabrics such as pure cotton and linen. Vermili only uses reycled materials for packaging, and all garments are made by either myself or my atelier. I aspire to eventually use hemp blends for all my garments with a view to reducing Vermili’s environmental footprint. No matter how big Vermili grows, I will never succumb to mass manufacturing or unethical labour. All garments will be made in the UK and Uzbekistan.
Craftsmanship
In keeping with my commitment to sustainability, Vermili creates garments that will be durable and long lasting. I personally quality assure every garment that is made. Whilst Vermili’s stitching may not be “perfect” to the naked eye, you will be assured that our garments were not mass manufactured, but rather, made lovingly by hand, with pride, and the knowledge that our customers will respect and care for our beautiful pieces.
Sophistication
The most important aspect in keeping fashion sustainable, is arguably design. Vermili proudly puts out styles that will stay unique but fashionable, staying relevant for years to come.
Vermili is timeless: with classic, easy styles for everyday life whilst standing out from the crowd. Vermili aims to make wearers feel confident, elegant and comfortable.
